Sat 17th came and went and the grotto at the Piazza was a great success. Over 200 children - and some eager mothers - entered the grotto to visit santa. As usual he was only all too willing to give out gifts, whilst his elves (of the uglier variety) collected donations for reindeer feed at the door.

All in all a great day for santa and next year promises to be even better as he has apparently made an application to the DPC for a pimped up grotto. We will keep all updated on progress.

Saturday the 17th sees the return of Santa to the Piazza for one of his final Grotto appearences before christmas. This time he will be assisted by those chaps from Round Table who year on year turn up early on Saturday to set up Santa's makeshift grotto. Be there as it's one of the last chances to soak the xmas atmosphere of Main Street on a Saturday morning.

Round Table Gibraltar recently held their annual Santa Pull. We would like to thank all our corporate sponsors and the generous people of Gibraltar who as always have no hesitation in putting their hand in their pockets and donating some of their money. Close to £2,000 was raised.

This year Joey Imossi gave our sleigh on wheels a facelift making a much more appealing and festive vehicle for Santa.

Friday 1st July is Breast Cancer Support's next Lunar Walk and this year they have invited 'Prostrate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar' to join them. The Prostate Cancer Support Group are a new charity supporting men and their families who have been affected by prostrate cancer.

Our S&E convenor is arranging this year's Games Night. This is an annual competition of endurance fought out between the members of Round Table Gibraltar v. 41 Club Gibraltar. In the past the secret aim of each team was to lose as the winner would take the trophy, a massive plaque with some massive horns which no-one fancied on their mantle piece. However, now that we have our own premises in which to keep the trophy, winning should be a priority for each side making it a truly exciting chall...

13 members of RT Stafford and District visited Gibraltar shortly after our March AGM.

  

After an international 5-a-side kick about on Saturday afternoon - and a few post match drinks, RTG hosted our guests to a tapas run in La Linea. Needless to say it was a great night out for those that went. in particular our President Guy who ensured that one of the Stafford guys could witness some of the petty crimes committed regularly during the early hours in the road leading to the Gibraltar border.
