CHARTER WEEKEND

15th October 2010 - 17th October 2010

JAEN

This year's charter weekend will be in Jaen. Far enough to make it feel like a true break, yet close enough for those who wish to travel up for the charter dinner (Sat night) only.

Driving there takes just over 3 hours (similar to Huelva) - see the route in the map below.

During the last few years Jaén has had an influx of cultural tourists. It is also a city which has only been visited by Table yonks ago therefore making it an interesting, fresh and exciting location.

Approximate Costs

Tolls (one-way): £5.44

Petrol (one-way): £22.94

Hotel (2 nights): Room-only €320 (we will try to get breakfast included).

Friday Dinner & Sat Lunch: To be paid on the night (amount depends on consumption)

Saturday Tour: €170 for the entire group (+ entry to some of the sites approx €8 per person)

Saturday afternoon 'surprise' activity: minimal

Charter Dinner: TBA

Jaén is laid out within the hills of the Santa Catalina mountains, with steep, narrow streets, in the historical central city district.

We will be staying at the Parador del Castillo de Santa Catalina - a castle that sits on the Cerro de Santa Catalina thus overlooking the city. The castle began as an 8th Century Moorish fortress which was last done up by by the Nasrid King Abdallah ibn al-Ahmar, who also built the Alhambra.
