Welcome to the Round Table Gibraltar Website
So, after 2 years of neglect (of our website), and having Tom pass his wonderful president's jewels to Nikhil Advani, who ran a Covid-littered presidency - and then passed the jewels on to Morten Jensen - we now have Chris Key as the new super President of Round Table Gibraltar. He was elected in March 2022.
Chris has made 2 promises:
1) deliver on the June 2022 SEM, which we're sure is going to be a resounding success given that we get to host an SEM where the current chairperson is from the hosting country; and
2) replenish (and spend) the Charity Fund, as it was (quite rightly) used up during Morten's spell as president.
Round Table Gibraltar generally meet in the evening on at least a monthly basis. Our activities vary between 'business meetings' where we discuss issues such as community services, dinners with guest speakers on topical and local matters, and activity based meetings such as team building events.
We also organise a range of social activities for our members, their partners and families such as short breaks away, beach bbqs and children’s Christmas parties.
There is only one Table in Gibraltar, the council of which double up as the National Council.
For those with no knowledge of Gibraltar, we are located at the southern most tip of the Iberian Peninsula overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, thus at the gateway of the Mediterranean. Gibraltar is a British overseas territory covering 6.843 square kilometres (2.642 square miles) and sharing a land border with Spain.
